MARSHALLS RED, WHITE AND BLUE PLUMES
EFFECT:
The magician passes a red plume through a paper tube. He looks puzzled as nothing
happens. Next, the white plume is passed through the paper tube. Again nothing
happens. Finally, the blue plume is passed through the paper tube. As the blue
tube is withdrawn, it appears as though nothing has happened. But to the utter
amazement of the audience, as the plume emerges from the paper tube, it changes into A
RED, WHITE AND BLUE PLUME.
PRESENTATION: If you are performing the RED, WHITE AND BLUE CLIMAX in conjunction with the COLOR CHANGING PLUMES, you must switch the paper tubes. This is easily accomplished by tearing the paper tube use in the COLOR CHANGING PLUMES in half and nonchalantly tossing it into the audience. To perform the Red, White and Blue Climax, pick up the paper tube containing the gimmicked red, white and blue plume and pass a wand through it to show it to be empty. Make sure your wand is slender enough to pass through the gimmicked plume. Pass the red plume through the paper tube, (and the gimmicked plume), leaving the gimmicked plume inside the paper tube. The paper tube is empty as far as the audience is concerned. Do the same for the white plume. As the red and white plumes have emerged without a color change, the effect is set for an outstanding climax. Now take the blue plume and pass it into the paper, but leave the blue plume inside of the gimmicked plume. SLOWLY pull both plumes from the paper as one plume. As the audience sees the lower third of the red, white and blue plume, they are led to believe youve failed again. This move produces the red, white and blue plume as one plume in a most effective manner, which never fails to get applause. CLB
